Turkey: Today we expect another positive opening

  • While US market was closed, BIST-100 rallied yesterday with a strong volume

  • Still there is no word on inflation protected bond which still directs TL investments to equities

  • CCOLA, BIMAS, TUPRS are likely to outperform the index today

While US market was closed, BIST-100 rallied yesterday with a strong volume. The relief in global growth due to openings in China and global markets together with short covering in Turkey brought BOST 100 Index above 2,500 resistance level.

Still there is no word on the inflation-protected bond which still directs TL investments to equities.

Today we expect another positive opening towards 2,540 and then toward the TL historical high of 2,560 level. CCOLA, BIMAS, TUPRS are likely to outperform the index today.

Company news:

*MPARK TI> bought back 90K shares at an average price of TL36.45 on 30 May 2022. Since 25 May 2022, the total number of shares bought back reached 240K at an average price of TL35.26.

*SISE TI> goes ex-dividend today, paying TL0.41/shr (dividend yield: 1.94%) The reference price will be TL 20.653

*MEDTR> announced that it has decided to establish a company in the UK with a capital of 1.5mn GBP, 100% of which is owned by itself.

*ATATP TI> BoD decided to distribute 150% bonus issue.
