In June 2022, Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) declined 10.8% to close at 11,523 points. The average traded value decreased by 30.1% mom and 51.5% yoy to SAR6.5bn. Saudi individuals were net buyers with a net inflow of SAR4.4bn while QFIs were net sellers with a net outflow of SAR0.8bn. For the 5th month in a row, Saudi institutions were net sellers, with a total of SAR3.4bn.

  • In June 2022, Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) decreased by 10.8% to 11,523 points. Average value traded decreased to SAR6.5bn vs SAR9.3bn in May 2022, down 30.1% mom.

  • Saudi individuals were net buyers with a total value of SAR4.4bn. Total Saudi individual investors’ traded value accounted for 70.5% of June 2022’s value traded vs 61.5% in May 2022. Saudi retail individual investors’ net purchases were SAR4.2bn vs SAR5.1bn in May 2022. HWI/IPIs were net purchases with a total of SAR741mn (vs net purchase of SAR925mn in May 2022) while Individual DPMs were net sellers with a total of SAR550mn.

  • For the 5th month in a row, Saudi institutional investors were net sellers in June 2022, with a total of SAR3.4bn vs SAR3.9bn in May 2022. They accounted for 11.1% of the total value traded (vs 12.3% in May 2022), while their ownership decreased to 54.9% of the free float market cap from 55.3% in May 2022. Saudi institutional investors’ total value traded reached SAR31.8bn in June 2022 vs SAR40.9bn in May 2022.

  • QFIs were net sellers in June 2022 with a net outflow of SAR0.8bn vs inflow of SAR2.1bn in May 2022. QFIs ownership stood at SAR284bn (12.8% of the free float market cap). The total value traded of QFIs reached SAR44.8bn vs SAR78.5bn in May 2022.
