Mexico: Job gains continue in June, with mounting uncertainty ahead

  • The unemployment rate stood at 4.02% (nsa), with an uptick in the labor force and total unemployed people

  • Employment rose by 176.6k positions, with only 670.4k jobs to be recovered relative to Feb-20, positive at the margin

  • Given worsening virus conditions, there is uncertainty about short-term dynamics. However, we expect gains afterwards
