Mexico: Family remittances –New historical high as employment picks up in the US

  • Remittances reached US$4,818.6 million (33.8% y/y), a new historical high surpassing August’s US$4.7 billion

  • In seasonally adjusted terms, inflows rebounded 7.7% m/m after falling 1.6% in the previous month

  • For 2022 inflows should remain strong, close to US$58 billion (14.5% y/y)
