GlobalMexico: 1H-July inflation –Core pressures are still lingering around
Headline inflation rose 0.43% 2w/2w, higher than expected, with the core up 0.34%: Pressures in food items extended
In bi-weekly terms, annual inflation picked up 7bps to 8.16%. The core was algo higher, at 7.56% (previous: 7.52%)
Recent developments have reinforced our view that Banxico will hike by 75bps in August, with the rate by year-end at 10%
