Mexico: 1H-January inflation – Higher on pressures in energy prices

  • Headline inflation rose 0.51% 2w/2w, with the core component at +0.24% and the non-core at 1.37%

  • We noted pressures in energy as global prices extended higher, along processed foods given usual upward adjustments

  • Annual inflation stood at 3.33% from 3.15% by year-end 2020, while the core was broadly stable at 3.83% from 3.80%
