Katia Goya is the Senior Global Economist within the Economic Research department in Grupo Financiero Banorte. Her responsibilities include the analysis and forecast of the main US economic variables, with special focus on activity, labor market and monetary policy decisions. She is also head of the Eurozone’s economic analysis as well as China’s and Brazil’s economic developments and monetary policy. Katia also analyses global geopolitical events that have an economic impact.
Katia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from ITAM, where she graduated magna cum laude, and has a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution. She has been a panelist in specialized industry forums and participates in important roundtables with other economists from around the world.
