George holds a BComm (Hons Economics).  His working experience in economics spans over 20 years.  On joining Econometrix in 1996 he worked under Chief Economist, Dr Azar Jammine and ran Econometrix’s real-time division where analysis was conducted on the rand, fixed income and equity markets. In March 2004, George left Econometrix (Pty) Ltd and was co-founder of what is now known as ETM Analytics (Pty) Ltd.  Beyond consulting to the financial market environment, ETM Analytics also services a range of companies and funds of varying sizes and in different industries on the economic challenges they face.   ETM boasts a substantial international client base but has in recent years focused quite specifically on expanding its research to focus on Africa and on building a collection of indices that offer unique context to better understand the currencies and their behaviour. ETM has also recently acquired Econometrix and George has taken up the role of Managing Director together with his role as Head of Research at ETM.
