Foong Choong Chen joined CIMB in 2014 as the Regional Telecommunication Analyst covering the Malaysian, Indonesian and Singapore market. He has been an analyst in the equity research industry since 2002, with prior stints in BNP Paribas and UOB Kay Hian. He has been covering the Malaysian telecom market for 14 years and Asean telcos since 2007. In 2014, he was ranked by Starmine as one of the top three stock pickers for Telecommunications in Asia. In 2015, he was ranked as the top telco analyst for Malaysia by Asiamoney. He graduated from the University of London with a BSc in Accounting and Finance (1st Class Honours) and is a CFA charterholder.
